Torsten Hvas is a cultural entrepreneur from Denmark interested in art, music, film, and tourism. He has worked in the entertainment industry since 1982, where he promoted concerts and events for cutting-edge artists Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, Butthole Surfers, Einstürzende Neubauten and for world music artists including Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Mano Negra and Les Négresses Vertes. Torsten believes in cross-cultural exchange and enjoys promoting Nordic music and artists abroad while simultaneously introducing the Danish public to the music and arts of other countries. He has managed projects and major festival events in Europe, USA, Canada, South East Asia and Australia and since 2004 has mainly worked with film festivals, film promotion, TV sales and screenwriting.

Torsten will lead an interactive discussion on filmmaking, distribution and marketing.
